Trousdale Announces New Album "Growing Pains" with Release of Lead Title Track

Trousdale, the Los Angeles-based trio consisting of Quinn D'Andrea, Georgia Greene, and Lauren Jones, has released their new track "Growing Pains" on January 14, 2025, as the lead single from their sophomore album of the same name. The album is scheduled to drop on April 11, 2025, via Independent Co., marking a significant milestone in the band's career.
This new single features a ripping electric guitar opening and their trademark harmonies. The song encapsulates the feeling of working hard for one's dreams while skating on the edge of burnout, a theme that resonates deeply with the band members. Jones explains that the song came about naturally from discussing their shared experience of exhaustion and the challenges of pursuing a career that is both a passion and work.
The trio, who met during their freshman year at the University of Southern California's Popular Music program, have been making music together since 2014. Their musical journey began with covers of classic pop songs on YouTube, which eventually led to writing their own material. Trousdale's sound is often described as a blend of folk, pop, and country, drawing inspiration from artists such as The Eagles, Fleetwood Mac, Joni Mitchell, and HAIM.
The upcoming album "Growing Pains" was primarily recorded live in the studio and co-produced by the band alongside John Mark Nelson. It features co-writing contributions from Mags Duval, John Mark Nelson, and Lawrence Rothman, and showcases a larger sound than their previous work, thanks to an expanded band. The 12-track album explores themes of resilience, heartbreak, and transformation, with the band describing it as "a reminder that even in the coldest moments, renewal is always possible".
Prior to this release, Trousdale had already made a name for themselves in the indie music scene. Their debut album, "Out of My Mind," released in 2023, received critical acclaim for its powerful songwriting, immaculate harmonies, and ability to bridge gaps between country and indie pop. The band's previous EPs, including "What Happiness Is" and "Look Around" (both released in 2021), have collectively amassed over 50 million streams on Spotify in the last three years.
In support of their new album, Trousdale has announced a headline "Growing Pains North American Tour," set to begin on April 30, 2025. The tour will feature collaborative opening sets from Beane and Nia Ashleigh.
