Pecos & the Rooftops Release Latest Country-Rock Single "11 Beers"
Pecos & the Rooftops, a Texas-based country rock band, have released their latest single "11 Beers" through Warner Records on February 7, 2025. This new track showcases the band's signature blend of country and classic rock, a sound they have been refining since their formation in 2019.
"11 Beers" follows the release of several other singles in recent months. In October 2024, they dropped "Sweet Tumbleweed," and before that, in September 2024, they released "Missing Peace". These singles, along with "One Drunk Summer" released in August 2024, mark the band's first new material since their self-titled debut album, which came out in 2023.
The sextet, led by frontman Pecos Hurley, consists of Brandon Jones on rhythm guitar, Jessie Santos on lead guitar, Kalen Davis on bass, Garrett Peltier on drums, and Hunter Cassell on guitars and keys. Their journey began in Lubbock, Texas, where they met as college friends and started jamming together in a five-bedroom house, eventually naming themselves after the rooftop where they often hung out.
Pecos & the Rooftops' musical background is deeply rooted in both country and rock traditions. Hurley, who grew up in Sulphur Springs and Paris, Texas, was exposed to a variety of musical influences from an early age, including Waylon Jennings, Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Johnny Cash, Alan Jackson, and George Strait. This country foundation, combined with the band members' diverse musical tastes ranging from hard rock and blues to grunge and nu-metal, has shaped their unique sound.
The band's breakthrough came with their debut single "This Damn Song" in 2019, which has since earned RIAA Platinum certification and amassed over 349 million streams globally. This success propelled them into the spotlight and led to extensive touring, including opening for artists like Koe Wetzel.
As of 2024, Pecos & the Rooftops have garnered nearly 400 million global streams and continue to build on their momentum. Their self-titled debut album, released in 2023, further solidified their position in the country rock scene, featuring popular tracks like "5AM," "Hurt No More," and "Last Thing I Remember".
With the release of "11 Beers" and their ongoing tour, Pecos & the Rooftops are poised to continue their ascent in the music industry, blending their Texas roots with a contemporary rock edge that resonates with a growing audience.
