Connor McCutcheon Releases New Country Track "Devil on My Shoulder"

Connor McCutcheon has released his latest single "Devil on My Shoulder" on January 17, 2025. This release marks an exciting new chapter for the 25-year-old Nashville native, who has been making waves in the industry with his unique blend of country storytelling and contemporary sound. This new track follows McCutcheon's highly anticipated six-song EP titled "Top of the Hill," which was released on June 14, 2024.

McCutcheon's musical journey began in his hometown of Hendersonville, Tennessee, just outside of Nashville. Self-taught on guitar and piano, he honed his songwriting skills throughout high school and college. After graduating from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga in 2022, McCutcheon decided to pursue music full-time, inspired by artists like John Mayer, Sam Hunt, Justin Bieber, and Morgan Wallen.

In 2023, McCutcheon's career took a significant leap forward when he signed a worldwide publishing deal with Spirit Music Nashville/Fluid Music Revolution. This partnership has allowed him to collaborate with established names in the industry and further develop his craft. Frank Rogers, Chief Creative Officer of Spirit Music Group, praised McCutcheon's ability to "write songs that draw you in lyrically and then deliver those songs with an honest, unique voice".

Prior to "Devil on My Shoulder," McCutcheon released several singles that garnered attention in the country music world. These include "Sober" (2022), "I Want You" (2021), "Daddy Issues" (2023), and "Sleep Walkin'" (2024). His track "Love Letter" was also added to Spotify's "NEXT FROM NASHVILLE" playlist, further cementing his status as an up-and-coming artist to watch.

McCutcheon's live performances have also been a crucial part of his rising career. In 2023, he played over fifty live shows, providing full band support for established artists like Tim McGraw, Chris Janson, and Gavin DeGraw. He has also performed at various festivals, including The Music City Grand Prix, and headlined his own shows across the southeast.
